Founded in 1953 and formerly known as Horacio Díaz, F.A.I.A., Architects and before that, Horacio Díaz and Enrique Soler (1960‑ 1968), since 1988 Arquitectos Díaz has been under the helm of Eduardo Díaz-Delucca, current owner and Principal.
In 1999, the firm was incorporated as a professional services corporation under the newly revised Puerto Rican corporate law, becoming then Arquitectos Díaz C.S.P. (Corporación de Servicios Profesionales). Eduardo Díaz-Delucca, A.I.A. is the President of the corporation.
Since 1987, Arquitectos Díaz has collaborated in numerous projects with the Boston-based, Puerto Rican-owned firm of Domenech, Hicks & Krockmalnic. This collaboration was formalized in the year 2000 and DDHK (Díaz Domenech Hicks & Krockmalnic Architects P.S.C.) was born. The two firms share the office space at 285 Ramón Ramos Street.

Horacio Díaz-Semidey FAIA 1923-2001
Horacio Díaz Semidey was the founder of the firm. A 1950 Tulane University graduate, he had the unique distinction of being the only architect to preside the Puerto Rico Engineers and Surveyors Association (1961-1963).

Horacio was also a member of the Pan American Architects Association, a Fellow of the Americamn Institute of Architects, and the recipient of the prestigious the Henry Klumb Award from the Colegio de Arquitectos de Puerto Rico in 1981. |
